About the village
Today, Radzimowice is a small settlement on the plateau of the Eastern Ridge of the Kaczawskie Mountains, consisting of only a dozen or so buildings. However, in the past, it was periodically an important mining centre known as “Srebrna Góra” (Silberberg) or “Stara Góra” (Altenberg). There are copper, arsenic, cobalt, as well as silver and gold ore minerals here. The maximum recorded concentrations were 27 grams of gold and up to 400 grams of silver per ton.
Mining activity in Radzimowice
The beginnings of mining activity in Radzimowice date back to the first half of the 12th century. The peak of mining activity occurred in the 15th century, and in 1455, the town became a private mining town. In later periods, copper ores were mainly extracted, followed by arsenic. Another period of mining resurgence was in the 19th century when a smelting plant was established in 1819, producing arsenic. Mining activity continued until the first half of the 20th century. In the early 1950s, exploration work for uranium ores began, but industrial exploitation did not commence.
Adits and other attractions of the village
Remnants of mining activity include the secured entrances to the Louis shaft (142 metres deep) and the Arnold shaft (104 meters deep), the stone casing of the entrance to the Pocieszenie Górnika adit, a large spoil heap near the Louis shaft, and numerous depressions resulting from partially filled exploration shafts, known as pings. Currently, the village is developing its tourism sector based on agritourism facilities and traditional craftsmanship, e.g. Dom Chleba, Szklana Manufaktura (Glass Manufactory).

Cycling routes and directions to Radzimowice
In the close vicinity of Radzimowice near the Żeleźniak Mountain, there are Kaczawskie Single Tracks, which go near the observation tower on Dłużek. Also, the Four Castles Trail goes through the village. Access to the village from the direction of Mysłów is provided by an asphalt road, while from the direction of Wojcieszów, there is an unpaved forest road with a designated cycling route.
