My name is Martyna Olszowa-Durachta.
My passion is making gingerbreads – Martyna’s Gingerbreads. I bake them according to an old family recipe using natural ingredients (including flour from the mill, homegrown eggs, honey straight from the apiary, and my own blend of seven spices), and then I decorate the gingerbread cookies with icing and plant-based food colouring.
I’ve been doing this since 2011. I have my gingerbread shop in Wilków, near Złotoryja, where you can see and buy my creations. You can also meet us at fairs in many places in Poland, especially in the Land of Extinct Volcanoes.
You can decorate Martyna’s gingerbreads during Creative Family Workshops in the Land of Extinct Volcanoes. Gingerbread workshops usually take place at the Guesthouse ‘Gościniec pod Gruszą’.
