LISIE SKAŁY (FOXS’ ROCKS)
On the slopes of Chmielarz, Lisie Skały rise. Composed of sericitic schists, they form a sharp, rocky ridge approximately 20 meters long and up to 8 meters high. Close to the summit of Chmielarz, there is an entrance to a former uranium mine adit. The adit was excavated in the post-war years as part of the campaign to search for uranium ore deposits throughout the Sudetes. It consists of a long, straight corridor with a length of 316 metres and branching side corridors extending in both directions. The adit serves as a hibernation site for bats, which is why it is closed during the winter season.
