{"id":4507,"date":"2020-05-11T12:55:50","date_gmt":"2020-05-11T10:55:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gorykaczawskie.pl\/?p=4507"},"modified":"2023-12-19T10:35:10","modified_gmt":"2023-12-19T09:35:10","slug":"pogwizdow-village","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gorykaczawskie.pl\/en\/pogwizdow-village\/","title":{"rendered":"Pogwizd\u00f3w &#8211; village"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Pogwizd\u00f3w <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pogwizd\u00f3w is an old, chain agricultural village located in the \u015awierzawa trench in the southeastern part of the Kaczawskie Foothills, stretching for almost 3 km along the Przy\u0142\u0119cznica stream.<\/p>\n<p>The most valuable sight in the village is the cemetery church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, surrounded by a wall in the central part of the village, probably dating back to the late 13th century. At the end of the 16th century, it was enlarged, and in the 18th century, a funeral chapel was added. Notable are the Romanesque portals made of light Cretaceous sandstone, placed on a foundation of Permian red sandstone, creating an interesting color contrast. The walls contain Renaissance and Baroque epitaphs, including the tombstone of A. von Nimptsch, which is a high-quality Renaissance art monument. The former evangelical church from the second half of the 18th century, now used as a Catholic church, is also located in the central part of the village. Only the ruins of the classical palace, used until the 1970s, remain, surrounded by overgrowing vegetation. Nearby stands an impressive utility building from 1912.<\/p>\n<p>North of the village, you can see the remains of the walled Evangelical cemetery.
