The relative height of Mi\u0142ek in relation to the bottom of the Kaczawa Valley is up to 200 metres. Within the axis of the elevation, there are three peaks: the western M\u0142yniec (573 m), the central and highest Cisowa (596 m), and the eastern Wroniec (569 m).<\/p>\n<p>Mi\u0142ek is an inselberg hill, meaning it owes its distinctiveness to the greater resistance of the crystalline limestones that make it up to weathering and erosion. The limestones were exploited in a large quarry at the southern foot of the hill, abandoned in the 1970s. <\/p>\n<p>The ridge parts of Mi\u0142ek are rich in rock formations. Below M\u0142yniec and Cisowa, there are vertical limestone walls with lengths up to 100 m and heights up to 15 m. Underground karst forms, however, did not reach as spectacular dimensions as those on the neighboring Po\u0142om. The largest caves were exposed as a result of mining operations in the quarry. The Aven Cave in Mi\u0142ek is 32 metres long and 17 metres deep.<\/p>\n<p>Mi\u0142ek has exceptional botanical values, which is why the &#8220;G\u00f3ra Mi\u0142ek&#8221; nature reserve, covering an area of 141 hectares, was established in 1994.  The main focus of protection in the &#8220;G\u00f3ra Mi\u0142ek&#8221; nature reserve is the communities of fertile Sudetic beech forest with a rich understory, as well as limestone-loving and xerothermic rock grasslands. The area is home to numerous species of orchids.<\/p>\n<p>The tourist accessibility of Mi\u0142ek is limited.
