\u015awi\u0105tek is a small hill (330 metres above sea level) located in the southeastern part of the forest complex called the Z\u0142otoryja Forest. You can reach it from the hamlet of Roch\u00f3w, located right next to Twardocice<\/a>. Its relative height from the southern side is only 50 metres, so it is not particularly impressive, and it does not dominate the landscape either.<\/p>\n

From the geomorphological perspective, \u015awi\u0105tek Hill is an isolated hard coal hill – an example of a neck, which is a remnant of an ancient volcanic chimney, built from basaltic lava. Within the hill, to the east, there is a former small quarry. In the highest part of the hill, characteristic basalt columns with a diameter of 20-30 cm are visible.<\/p>\n

Approach to the summit can be made via the green trail from Roch\u00f3w, all the way to the intersection with the educational path ‘Stone Crosses Trail’. Along the road leading from the base of the hill westward, stands one of the stone crosses – from the year 1775. Near the camping area, a narrow path branches off towards the summit.<\/p>\n

There is no view from the summit, but along the road on the edge of the forest, there is a place with high scenic values, featuring prominent views of Ostrzyca<\/a>, the group of hills around Soko\u0142owiec<\/a>, and the horizon closed by the Karkonosze Mountains with \u015anie\u017cka Mountain.<\/p>\n
