The B\u00f3br Valley Landscape Park is located in the Western Sudetes and Sudetic Foothills and covers areas of three poviats: Karkonosze, Lw\u00f3wek, and Z\u0142otoryja. The B\u00f3br River in this section serves as a natural border between the Jizera Foothills and the Kaczawskie Mountains and Foothills. <\/span><\/p>\n It was established in 1989 to protect the B\u00f3br River valley, which is known for its rich natural environment and picturesque landscape. The park covers an area of nearly 10,943 hectares. <\/span><\/p>\n The B\u00f3br Valley is a picturesque place on the map of the Sudetes. The B\u00f3br River meanders through the hills, creating and revealing diverse terrain resulting from the complex geological structure. A characteristic feature of the Park is also the numerous geological outcrops in the form of rock walls.<\/span><\/p>\n In the area of this landscape park, you can encounter numerous species such as bats<\/a>, spotted salamanders<\/a>, grass snakes<\/a>, newts, and adders. In terms of vegetation, this area is unique on a Sudetes-wide scale. The tree stands in the forests are well-preserved, and in most cases, they have a character close to natural. <\/span><\/p>\n In the Park, there is the “G\u00f3ra Zamkowa” nature reserve, on which the Wle\u0144 Castle<\/a> is built. <\/span><\/p>\n In the southern part of the B\u00f3br Valley, the dammed waters of the river create the picturesque Pilchowickie Lake<\/a>. It is the largest artificial reservoir in the Sudetes and one of the largest with a stone dam in Poland. <\/span><\/p>\n The landscape park area is a popular recreation destination. Some of the most frequently visited places include: Ducal Tower in Siedl\u0119cin<\/a>, Per\u0142a Zachodu, Borowy Jar, Lw\u00f3wek’s rocks, or already mentioned Pilchowickie Lake<\/a>. The B\u00f3br River has the typical characteristics of a mountain river, with swift currents and a stony bottom.
