The „Gora Milek” Reserve

The „Gora Milek” Reserve is a refugium of European Beech forest growing on a fertile and an almost intact soil of the Sudetes beech forests on a limestone substratum. There are many monumental trees of huge size. There are also many beautiful limestone rocks with shallow caves and extremely rare and valuable plants, such as: Lady's Slippers, purple cyclamen, gentiana, Red Helleborine, Sword-leaved Helleborine, European Common Twayblade, Lesser Butterfly-orchid, Martagon, Spring Snowflake and Mezereon. Taxuses and rare bushes (Common Cotoneaster, European Barberry, Rosa inodora and Rubus chaerophyllus) grow there. The trail from Radzimowice to Wojcieszow (marked blue) runs through the reserve.
